Mr. Paul is co-founder, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Partner of Enhanced Equity Funds. Mr. Paul has been actively engaged in private equity and venture capital investing for 34 years, primarily focused on healthcare services. Prior to Enhanced, Mr. Paul spent 16 years at Welsh Carson Anderson & Stowe (“WCAS”) where he was a Managing General Partner. After retiring from WCAS in 2000, Mr. Paul focused his energies on investing in small capitalization companies and in 2005, he co-founded Enhanced. He is the most senior member of Enhanced’s Investment Committee. He received a Bachelor of Arts from Cornell University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Mr. Kostuchenko is a co-founder and Managing Partner of EEF. Prior to EEF, Mr. Kostuchenko was a member of MTS Health Partners, LP (“MTS”) where he focused on growth equity investments and lower-middle market buyouts. Prior to MTS, Mr. Kostuchenko was a member of KPS Kapital, LLC, a boutique merchant bank, and prior to KPS, he worked in the investment banking division at Salomon Brothers. Mr. Kostuchenko serves on EEF’s Investment Committee. He serves on the Board of Directors of NextCare Urgent Care, Prospira PainCare, West Dermatology and Glenridge Healthcare Solutions. Mr. Kostuchenko received a Bachelor of Arts from Brown University.
Mr. Chandra is a Managing Partner at EEF. He is a member of the firm’s investment committee. Mr. Chandra has spent over 11 years evaluating, executing and building companies across a wide range of healthcare subsectors. Prior to joining Enhanced, Mr. Chandra served as an Associate at Flexpoint Ford where he began investing in the healthcare industry. He started his career at Lazard, Ltd. where he specialized in corporate restructurings and mergers & acquisitions advisory assignments. He serves on the Board of Directors of MedTest, Priority Ambulance, and West Dermatology. Mr. Chandra received a Bachelor of Arts in the History, Philosophy, and Social Sciences (HiPSS) Program with Honors and a Master of Arts in Humanities from the University of Chicago. He also received an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
Mr. Thompson is a Partner at Enhanced. He focuses on sourcing, evaluating, executing and managing niche investments in the healthcare with experience in pharma, technology, pharmacy and reimbursed services. Prior to Enhanced, Mr. Thompson served as a Director at Riverside Partners, a private equity firm with a focus on healthcare and technology. Before joining Riverside Partners, Mr. Thompson worked at CVS Caremark in the corporate development and strategy role, helping lead work in a wide range of sectors including pharmacy, senior living, disease management, HCIT, wellness, and medical clinics. He was also a consultant at Monitor Group where he managed growth oriented and M&A projects in a variety of sectors. He serves on the Board of Directors at Aphena Pharma Solutions, Glendridge Healthcare Solutions, Syft and West Dermatology. He holds a Bachelor of Science from Georgetown University.
Brandon Einstein, M.D.
Dr. Einstein is a Principal at EEF. Prior to joining Enhanced, Dr. Einstein was an Associate in the Healthcare Investment Banking Group at Goldman, Sachs & Co., where he focused on M&A as well as equity and debt financing transactions for healthcare clients. Dr. Einstein has also been an entrepreneur and has built two e-commerce businesses. Dr. Einstein received a Bachelor of Arts in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology from Yale University. He received an M.D. from the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, and an M.B.A. from The Wharton School.
Mr. Chen is a Vice President at EEF. Prior to joining Enhanced, Mr. Chen was an Associate in the Consumer Retail & Healthcare Investment Banking Group at Goldman, Sachs & Co., where he focused on M&A as well as equity and debt financing transactions for consumer retail and healthcare clients. Prior to his role in Investment Banking, Mr. Chen worked in the Client Strategy Group within the Executive Office at Goldman, Sachs & Co., where he focused on performing global client targeting analysis for senior executives of the firm. Mr. Chen graduated with distinction from the Ivey School of Business with an Honors in Business Administration.
Mr. Goldfeder is a Vice President at EEF. Prior to joining Enhanced, Mr. Goldfeder worked as an Associate in the investment banking group at Deloitte Corporate Finance LLC where he advised on mergers & acquisitions across a broad range of industries including complex carve-out transactions in the United States, Europe, and Asia. Prior to his role in investment banking, Mr. Goldfeder began his career as an Analyst in the distressed debt & special loans group at US Bancorp. Mr. Goldfeder obtained additional healthcare investing experience with Levine Leichtman Capital Partners and Boyne Capital Partners. Mr. Goldfeder received a BA in Economics and Political Science from Denison University and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
Mr. Paul is an Associate at EEF. Prior to joining Enhanced, Mr. Paul worked with the acquisitions team at Safe Harbor Marinas, a leading investment firm in the marina industry, where he focused on M&A. Prior to his role at Safe Harbor, Mr. Paul worked with OfficeWorks Rx, a medical staffing company, where he focused on developing relationships between medical professionals and leading healthcare establishments. Mr. Paul obtained additional healthcare investing experience with Nexus Health Capital, a healthcare–focused investment bank. Mr. Paul started his career at Beatport, a leader in online electronic music sales, as an operations coordinator. Mr. Paul received a BA in Economics from Trinity College and an MBA from Southern Methodist University.
Mr. Fine is an Associate at EEF. Prior to joining Enhanced, he was an Analyst at Cain Brothers & Company, where he focused on M&A and advisory to healthcare clients. Mr. Fine graduated summa cum laude with a BSBA from the Olin Business School at Washington University in St. Louis.
Mr. Hatzenbuhler is an Associate at EEF. Prior to joining Enhanced, Mr. Hatzenbuhler was an Analyst in the Healthcare Investment Banking Group at Cantor Fitzgerald, where he focused on M&A as well as equity and debt financing transactions for healthcare clients. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Boston College.
Ms. Konfong is the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Compliance Officer at EEF. Prior to joining Enhanced, Ms. Konfong was a Senior Manager for six years with the Deloitte Private Equity Investor Services Group. Previously, she was a Vice President at Plainfield Asset Management, LLC for three years and a Manager at S.A.C. Capital Advisors, LLC for two years. Ms. Konfong is a Certified Public Accountant. She received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Queens College.
Ms. Yang is a Senior Fund Accountant at EEF. Prior to joining Enhanced, Ms. Yang was a Fund Accountant at Court Square Capital for 2 years. Previously, she was an associate at FLSV Fund Administration for two and a half years. Ms. Yang received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Baruch College.
Ms. Daley is the Office Manager at EEF. Prior to joining Enhanced, Ms. Daley was a Senior Administrative Coordinator at Moody’s Investors Service for 9 years. Previously, she was an Executive Assistant at Strang Cancer Prevention Center for 5 years, and an Administrative Assistant at The Durst Organization for 2 years. Ms. Daley is currently completing her bachelor’s degree in English at Ashford University.
